History

The History page (owner-only) is the audit log of every timesheet and report your organisation has ever generated.

What's in it

One row per generation. For each, you see:

  • Kind — Timesheet, Report, or Weekly report.
  • Status — Completed, Failed, or Running.
  • Employee(s) the generation covered.
  • Date range the content was about.
  • Started at — when the generation was kicked off.
  • Duration — how long it took.
  • For failed rows, the error message inline.

Filtering

The toolbar lets you narrow the list by:

  • Kind — timesheet / report / weekly.
  • Status — all / completed / failed / running.
  • User — by employee.
  • Date range — when the generation ran (not the period it covered).

Re-opening past results

Click any completed row and the page deep-links you back into the respective Timesheet or Reports page with the cached result already loaded. No regeneration is needed — the cached payload is served instantly.

For an in-flight row, the History page hands off to the generations dock at the bottom of the screen so you can keep watching progress while you do other work.

Why it exists

  • Audit / compliance — see who generated what, when.
  • Quick repeat — reopen last quarter's payroll-period timesheets to compare with the current one.
  • Failure visibility — surface generations that errored so an owner can retry or contact support.
